Discabos, a cables distributor, started in 1995 to fulfill the need for automotive cables in Brazil. In the beginning, Discabos purchased cables from many different suppliers but soon realized that finding good quality products was too difficult. Today the company produces more than 300 varieties of cables and manufactures 90 percent of these products in-house in addition to creating custom orders for clients.

Discabos's relationship with CABgate.com began in 2007 when Cristiano Mazza made a trip to Los Angeles USA and Shenzen China. "Everywhere I went I saw CABgate.com and I was very curious to find out what the website was all about," said Cristiano. "The first thing I did when I got back to my hotel was visit CABgate.com. It was wonderful to find all the suppliers in every category together on one site."

"CABgate.com helps me develop new products and see what is happening around the world in a variety of industries," said Cristiano. "It helps to uncover new clients in places that we couldn't reach before. CABgate.com is very useful as a seller and as a buyer."

Cristiano enjoys working with CABgate.com because it allows him to connect with clients from across the globe as well as his own back yard. "In January 2009, we received an e-mail inquiry from a company in Chile that was looking for some cables to be used in the Santiago Metropolitan Bus Service," said Cristiano. "We developed some samples with the products that the client needed and after some analysis and tests, they made a large order with us. It was very rewarding to know that we were supplying products that would be used by many people to make everyday better and more convenient."

Cristiano said that CABgate.com provides him with a new way to reach his clients across the globe by offering them quality products at reasonable prices. Cristiano is often able to deliver the products faster than if his customers searched in their own cities or countries.

In the last year, Discabos began exporting its products to South America and is looking forward to expanding into new markets in the U.S. and Africa.
